Lise Jonsson
I'm a Norwegian composer, pianist, former preschool teacher and music educator for children. Began playing piano by ear at age 7 and began composing at age 12. Beginning in 2015, I began creating music more earnestly as a means of therapy and to express myself. I'm adopted and it has had a big impact on me and my music.. I have 4 profiles, all of which showcase my compositional, pianistic, arranging, and creative skills. I have had two of my compositions placed on Spotify editorial playlists.
My academic experiences, music teaching background, and life experiences bring richness, variety, and meaning to my music. In 2023 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Fortunately I have my piano and the music. I have always been interested in music as a tool. I’m especially fond of the beauty of the countryside of my native Norway, where I find inspiration from nearby forests where I frequently walks with my dog.
I’m a member of the "Contemporary Classical Collective" (CCC), an informal group of spirited musicians from all over the world, dedicated to a sub-genre of contemporary classical music that variously goes under the label of "neo-classical" or "indie-classical".
