Eelco is a composer, producer, performer from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is hailed for his versatility and sense of melody. He has been writing, recording, teaching and performing music for 30+ years with several household names and across the biggest festivals/stages in the Netherlands and beyond.

For Soothe Sounds, Eelco focuses on instrumental piano, acoustic guitar and ambient music. Trying to not repeat himself, keep searching for new ground to cover, both sonically and harmonically. Exploring both complexity and simplicity. Nicky Monte is one of the aliases that Eelco operates under.

It is hard to name a genre that Eelco hasn't yet composed in. He has scored film, composed/produced for national campaigns, produced a custom sound art installation for a railway station, custom stadium music for the local fist division soccer club, sound design for podcast series, television show leaders, stock music, corporate music, commercial music, been featured numerous times in Gitarist Magazine for his solo guitar work, and runs a chiptune music channel on YouTube. All that besides being a husband, father and part-time librarian.
