Nick Batterham

Nick Batterham is an AFI/AACTA award nominated sound designer and ARIA nominated musician, based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
Most recently, Nick is known for his contemporary classical soundtracks and immersive sound design for the artist Rone. Rone’s Time (2022-23) installation at Melbourne’s iconic Flinders Street Station was experienced by over 100,000 visitors. Nick has released four soundtracks from Rone installations.
In 2025, Batterham released his first album of contemporary classical, titled First Snow (Music for Piano and Strings) and followed it up with a piece for cello and piano called La Petite Mort.
Nick has released seven albums as a solo singer-songwriter and provided musical score to numerous films and commercials.
Throughout the 1990's, Batterham toured extensively with indie-rock bands The Earthmen and Blindside, supporting international acts including Alanis Morrissette, INXS, Smashing Pumpkins and The Breeders.
